Getting legal help

Does it cost anything to use Wakili Msomi?

Searching, reading the Constitution, asking questions and sending consultation requests are free. Fees for legal services are agreed directly between you and the advocate you choose.

Who can see my matter?

Only you, until you send a consultation request. Then the advocates or firms you contacted can read it. When one accepts, a private conversation opens that only you and that provider can see.

How many advocates can I contact?

Up to three requests can wait for a reply at the same time for each matter. When one accepts, the others are withdrawn automatically.

Is this an emergency service?

No. If you are in danger or have been arrested, contact the police, a legal aid provider or an advocate directly and immediately.

Learning the law

Is the AI giving me legal advice?

No. Ask answers only from the indexed constitutional text and cites the articles it used. It explains what the law says in general; an advocate can tell you how it applies to you.

Can I ask in Kiswahili?

Yes. Search and Ask understand English and Kiswahili, and answers come back in the language you used.

What if the answer seems wrong?

Always open the cited articles — they are one click away. The official publication of the law prevails over anything shown on this site.

For advocates and firms

How does verification work?

Advocates submit their roll number and firms their business registration number. Our team checks them against the official registers before the profile appears in search.

Can I belong to a firm and practise on my own?

Yes. You keep your own profile and requests, and also receive requests your firm assigns to you.

Who can publish?

Verified advocates and firms. Your first three publications are reviewed by our team; after that they publish immediately.
